She's a lawyer - if she wants a bigger diamond, she should buy one for herself! It isn't your dad's responsibility to get her an enormous rock just because she's getting an inferiority complex from your ring.

My fiance was caught cheating shortly after we got engaged. I want to sell the ring and get a little money out of the situation at least. I tried pawn shops but they really rip people off. Craigslist hasn't worked either. I am only trying to get $300-$400

Call the local jewelry stores (not chains) and ask if they have take consignment pieces. Many local stores will offer consignment pieces for their clients. They get a portion of the sale. And you don't have to worry about security when you're showing

I've gone and looked at a few Jewlery stores but I feel like they're trying to take advantage of my lack of diamond knowledge. I want to get her (at a minimum) a 1 ct solitare (MUST be round!) I understand the whole color scale and the flawless scale
