My husband and i got married on very little notice in december (we weren't even engaged) he gave me a beautiful wedding ring but says that i shouldn't worry about getting him one because of his job. he is worried about it being able to conduct electricity
He should not wear any type of ring to work. Buy him a nice ring that he can wear & leave in his work locker.

My uncle in law has the same type of issues his real band is at home in a jewlery box.
He gets a new sterling silver band every year or so that cost less then 30 bucks or so. with it being sterling silver it doesn't conduct electricity and if

Need a metal that does not tarnish for a wedding band?

My fiance does not want me to spend money on a white gold wedding band, but I do not know a lot about the other metals like tungsten or silver. I hear stories that certain metals tarnish easier or can turn your skin green. Does any one have any suggestions?

tungsten. It is bullet proof, wont scratch, wont tarnish and comes in great designs. It cannot be resized so if you are offered a warranty it may be worth it for that reason alone. Plus the cleanings are nice too. check it out.
